Do I really want my magazine to be just 'one of the rest?'

I decided to widen my target audience even more!
When researching music magazines, i found that there wasnt ONLY black, or ONLY white people, (or of any other ethnicity)
it was of mixed race, so in my contents page i decided to write a section on male black and white artists. I didnt want to just have a magazine like everyone elses. By doing this, my magazine appeals to a wider audience and is making more money.
I priced my magazine at £3.99, I think this is a reasonable price comparing to a fashion magazine such as vouge which is roughly priced at £5.00 depending on the issue etc...
On the front page of my magazine i used the conventions expected, such as, a price, date, barcode, website etc....I used a long shot, to show a body & face. I made sure i was in control of my photo shoot,  i knew how i wanted my photos to be taken, and where i wanted them to be taken, for example. my front cover, i knew i wanted something with a naturalistic background, thats why I made sure all of the photos I had been shot in were outside. This also gives a good effect on the lighting. Luckily i had a good day to shoot, the sun was only slightly out and it wasnt too windy.

As i had previously said i would have liked my magazine to be weekly, but as i have widened my target audience and made my magazine fully packed with things that could fill your mind for a month (refer to contents page) i have decided to  make it monthly.
