First Blog, Music Quiz.

I have asked 20 people their favorite genres of music and produced a table on the most popular genres of music among the age of 16-17 years old. From this I can gather a basic idea of what males and females of this age are listening to. I can then get an idea of what genre to base my magazine on, to make it a popular, interesting, and unique magazine. 

I want to do some more, different research so i can get more information on the music industry, and the gap in the market for my new magazine. I want my target audience to be students. They seem to be the most interested in music, from the age of about 15-24.

Rather than doing a regular music magazine i want to make my magazine different from what's already out there. To do this I will need to research other music magazines and see what ISN'T already in them. Such as columns, quiz's, competitions etc... I will buy some magazines of different genres such as NME, top of the pops, Q, rolling stone etc...
